Hon. Olusegun Odebunmi, Chairman of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority, has congratulated the Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege III, on his victory at the Court of Appeal in Ibadan on Tuesday.

The appellate court affirmed Oba Olaoye’s selection by the kingmakers, ruling in his favor in the appeal he filed alongside the Oyo State government against his removal in October 2023. The case was instituted by Prince Muhammed Kabir Olaoye.
Describing the judgment as the “sweetest taste so far this year,” Hon. Odebunmi, a former three-term member of the House of Representatives, expressed joy over the decision.
“The victory today is sweet; it’s the sweetest victory we have had this year. It is indeed a sign of good things to come. Ogbomoso is on the path of greater progress and development. We thank God this is not halted. We can now move at a greater speed,” he stated in a personally signed letter.
Hon. APC Chieftain also called for unity among all stakeholders, urging everyone to put differences aside and work together for the development of Ogbomoso. “Let us bury the hatchet and unite to move Ogbomoso forward for the sake of posterity and progress,” he appealed.
