The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Ajibola Basiru, has extended warm royal birthday greetings to the Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdul Rasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I, describing him as “every inch, every step a king.”
In a statement released to mark the monarch’s birthday, Dr. Basiru lauded the Oluwo’s charismatic leadership and his commitment to the progress and global recognition of Iwoland.
“Kaabiyesi, you have added glamour and glitz to royalty,” he said. “Your ascension to the throne has put Iwoland in a positive, global spotlight. You embody regal allure, epitomise wisdom, and exemplify large-heartedness.”
The former Senate spokesperson also acknowledged the Oluwo’s firm belief in progressive politics and development-focused governance, adding that his reign has been marked by advocacy for unity, growth, and cultural pride.
“I celebrate you on this special occasion of your birthday and pray Allaah grants you long life and strength to continue to reign gloriously on the sacred throne of your ancestors. Kaabiyesi, two hundred years on the throne shall be like a single fulfilled year,” Dr. Basiru prayed.
