The chairman of the All Progressive Congress APC Senator Abdullahi Adamu was absent as members APC’s National Working Committee (NWC) met in Abuja on Monday.
Senator Adamu is said to have resigned along Omisore
It was reported that the chairman has tendered resignation letter base on the directive of the president to resign
The meeting which he was supposed to chair was however presided over by the APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Abubakar Kyari.
Senator Iyiola Omisore who also attended the meeting was said to have also tendered his resignation letter but his lawyer, Dr Kayode Ajulo debunked the news
“Why must he resign, he is the National Secretary of the winning party that has just ushered in the new government of President Bola Tinubu.
“He is proud of what the president is doing and the party enjoys the confidence of the president vice versa
“What he is doing now is to stabilise the political space and ensure that those who worked for the emergence of President Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian people are happy with the government,” Ajulo said
