A business man Mr. Oluwaseun Adeyiga on friday told an Ibadan high court how his Mrs.Damilola adeyiga lied to him over the paternity of their four- year old son and stayed put with child in the united kingdom
Adeyiga who accused his estranged wife of in fidelity,nagging, aggressiveness and lack of cooperation, prayed the court presided over by justics Oyeyemi Ajayi to dissolve their four year old marriage .
The business man while giving an account of the crisis that trialled his marriage with Damilola ,said shortly after their marriage in January 2015, his wife started misbehaving, an action which he said was strange to him .
He further that after much probing ,his wife told him that she was undergoing some emotional trauma arising from her past .
” After complaing of undergoing emotional trauma,I tired all my effort to put thing right to make her happy and forget about her past. Thereafter I decided to obtain UK visa for myself ,my wife and our son so that we can all go on vacation however owing to my tight business schedule, I could not make the trip and those decided that Damilola and our son Immanuel should make trip .
“While still in the process, I received a strange call from unidentified man that he was the biology father my son and that I should leave him and Damilola who (he the strange) claimed was his wife for him
“When I confronted my wife with the development she denied ever knowing the man and that ( he the man) was telling lie” he said
Adeyiga further told the court that few days after, he also recieved another call from the same man repeating the same claim on his wife and his son adding that the man said further that he was responsible for the pregnancy which his wife was carying at that time.
Apparently worries by the unfortunate development, the businesses man said he put a call through to his wife that she needed to cut her trip short and come to Nigeria so that a DNA test could be conducted on the child to ascertain his paternity.
He said his wife started crying on the phone saying she didn’t know how to tell him because he’s from the royal family and would not want to embraced the family .
Adeyiga further told the court that all his effort to ensure that his wife returns to Nigeria so that they could reconcile had been frustaed by the woman
In her arguement his counsel Mrs. Modupe Adegoke preyed the to dissolve the marriage and grant his client unhindered access to the child, adding that Adeyiga would also be responsible for the upkeep of the child and his school fees.
In his ruling justice Ajayi, adjourned the case till June 19th ,2019 for judgement
