Before his appointment as CPS in 2019, Adisa was the Group Politics Editor and Abuja Bureau Chief of the newspaper.

He had previously served as Special Assistant (Media Relations) to former President of the Senate, Senator Adolphus Wabara, between June 2003 and May 2005.

Adisa was educated at Nigeria’s premier university, the University of Ibadan, where he earned Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Communication and Language Arts. He also earned a Certificate in Political Reporting from the Independent Institute of Journalism, Lagos.

He started his journalism by contributing to Life & Leisure pages of Nigerian Tribune, after which had a stint in the defunct Sunday Concord.

He thereafter joined the radical and pro-democracy stable of Independent Communication Networks Limited, (ICNL), publishers of The NEWS and TEMPO magazines, where he contributed his quota to the guerilla journalism fad helped in midwifing the current democratic rule.

He joined the stable of The Punch following the dawn of democratic rule in 1999, and in 2003, he was named the Special Assistant (Media Relations) to the then President of the Senate, Senator Adolphus Wabara
