Anglican Communion Ogbomoso Diocese has commended the Old Students of Anglican Grammar School Ogbomoso for their contributions to the development of their alma matter
The diocese in a letter signed by Rev Titus Olayinka, Bishop of Ogbomoso Diocese said they acknowledge and appreciate the valuable contributions of the executives and the entire members of Old students Association for the positive steps towards reactivating the school through meaningful developmental projects
“ We have taken notice of the laudable projects implemented or facilitated by the associations some of which are :Renovation of 3 blocks each containing 3 classrooms, facilitation of the construction of 2-blocks each containing 3 classrooms by the Federal Ministry of Education, Facilitation of the Provision of Borehole projects with the accompanied sola power supply and facilitation of the provision of 250 tablets to the School ICT centre by the Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC)”
The letter reads further “ Your effort to organize yourselves to implement and facilitate projects of this magnitude is impressive to us , to the building of bright future for the coming generation. And we also believe that It is valuable to our lord for he said “ in as much as you have done this unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me “ Mathew 25:40”
“We pray that the Lord will reward you abundantly and meet each and everyone of you at the points of your needs. The Lord will continue to promote you in your various places of work. The Lord will enlarge your coast, water your lives and families, your own children will excel and stand our in all things “ Bishop Olayinka concluded.
Meanwhile the President of the Association, Mr John Ojekanmi while speaking on the development said members of the association are passionate about restoring the lost glory of the institute
“ Anglican is one of the best public school in the country, the dilapidated infrastructures has not changed its status as one of the best and we are the old student cannot continue to fold our arms watching the glory to fade away , we are ready to take up the challenges and God’s willing we will restore Anglican back to its orginal status
While commending the committee headed by Mrs Olanite and other members of the Association for their contributions and support, Ojekanmi urges old students who are yet to join or make any contributions to contact any of the executive member or attend the next General meeting in December.
