Legal luminary and political associate, Amofin Beulah Adeoye, has joined numerous well-wishers across Oyo State and Nigeria to celebrate the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB), Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a heartfelt tribute, Amofin Beulah described Dr. Adeniran as “a towering force of intellect, integrity, and service,” praising his contributions to governance, education, and community development.
“Dr. Adeniran is not simply a public figure; he is a phenomenon,” Beulah noted. “He leads without arrogance, serves without spectacle, and builds without seeking applause. His calm in a noisy world and humility in a space of ego are his greatest strengths.”
With a Ph.D. in Communication Arts and Community Development and a Law degree from the University of Ibadan, Dr. Adeniran has served as a lecturer, local government chairman, and state commissioner before assuming his current role as SUBEB Chairman. His tenure has seen the recruitment of over 7,000 teachers, infrastructure revamp across public schools, and a jump in Oyo’s national education ranking.
Beulah recalled how Adeniran, even when unwell, remained present during the last computer-based recruitment exercise to ensure smooth execution, underscoring his selfless dedication to public service.
“He is a servant-leader in the truest sense—one who leads from the front and lifts from behind,” Beulah said.
He also lauded Dr. Adeniran’s contributions to interfaith understanding and his role in strengthening the Muslim community, including reviving the OYOSUBEB mosque and hosting statewide Ramadan lectures.
Describing Dr. Adeniran’s legacy as one built on values, loyalty, and moral compass, Beulah concluded: “Today we celebrate more than your birthday—we celebrate your example. Oyo State salutes you. Nigeria honors you. And I remain forever proud to call you my egbon.”
Dr. Nureni Adeniran, who also chairs the South-West SUBEB Chairmen Forum, continues to be recognized as a visionary education reformer and one of Oyo State’s most respected public servants.
