The Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige has described late Alhaja Kehinde Eboda as a Committed, loyal and dedicated person.
Hon. Ige stated this while reacting to the death of Alhaja Kehinde Eboda which occured on Thursday 1st April, 2021. She was the immediate past Caretaker Chairperson of Ibadan South Local Council Development Area and first woman to occupy the position in the said local government.
Hon Ige in his condolence message explained that late Alhaja Eboda exemplified a character of loyalty, dedication and commitment to duty when she worked under him as a Supervisory Councillor for Women Affairs during his tenure as the Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East local government between 2003 and 2007.
Not only that, she equally had absolute loyalty to the ideal and progress of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He said.
Hon. Akeem Ademola Ige disclosed that he will surely miss the departure of Hon. Eboda not because she served under him but because during the period, they found out that late Alhaja Eboda was related with him from his mother side at Kudeti area and for this reason, she used to call him “Arowolo” during his lifetime. “I have therefore lost a political ally and a courageous women leader.” He lamented.
Hon. Ige further hinted that Mama Eboda had lived a life worthy of emulation and her name will never be forgotten in the history of politics in Ibadan South East local government area and by extension Oyo State.
While commiserating with Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, Hon. Dare Adeleke and all notable leaders of the PDP in Ibadan South East local government as well as the immediate family of the deceased over the unfortunate incident, Hon. Ige prayed God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
