Hon Segun Dokun Odebunmi, Chairman House of Reps Committee on Information, National Orientation Ethics and Values has described the demise of the former governor of the state Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala as a huge loss to Ogbomoso, Oyo state and Nigeria at large.
Odebunmi, a Federal lawmaker representing Ogo-Oluwa Surulere federal constituency maintained that Akala is a political hero, and a kind leader with incurable generous and accommodating spirit.
According to him the late Bobagunwa of Ogbomoso up to his last moment demonstrated his passion for his hometown Ogbomosho. He genuinely loved his people and remain committed to the advancement of Ogbomosho, oyo state and Nigeria at large.
The APC chieftain in a statement said he is yet to come to terms with the reality of his sudden demise because he has a lot of unfinished businesses. He left his footprint at every track he walked. He was truly a unique leader (Oyato) with inspiring candor.
” He was not just my political mentor, most of the lessons i learned from him are guiding and helping me in my political journey and private business so his death is also a personal loss to me.
On behalf of my family, and my constituents, i commiserate with his family, political associates and friends. I also pray that God will grant him eternal rest and grant us all the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
