The Alajaawa of Ajaawa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Thompson Adeyeye Oyetunji, OLUMOLE II, has charged members of the newly Inaugurated to be good ambassadors by discharging their various responsibilities with absolute dedication, loyalty and fear of God so as to achieve the desired goal for the betterment of the entire Ajaawa community.
Oba Oyetunji gave this charge on Thursday, January 22 during the formal inauguration of six strategic committees held inside the private residence of the monarch in Ajaawa.
While noting that the responsibilities of this committees are too enormous, Oba Oyetunji advice them to perform to the desired optimal level without any encumbrance.
Oba Oyetunji congratulated all members of this committees on their appointment, he strongly advise them to see their appointment as a clarion call to serve their community with renewed vigour, selfless disposition towards achieving the desired goal for Ajaawa community. He encouraged them to display their God-given individual qualities by bringing it to bear for the rapid development of Ajaawa community.
Oba Oyetunji further reiterated that among this committees, both Land Dispute and Youth Affairs committees are very important in nature because of their peculiarities to the growth and development of Ajaawa community and its environs. Thus, he advice this two committees’ members not to compromise their conscience by being faithful to their call.
In their separate remarks, Prince Sola Oyelade, Inspector Adeeyo(Retired) and Prince Olalere Ajiboye showered encomiums on Oba Oyetunji on this giant strides and wonderful foresight by establishing this six strategic committees and advice members of this committees to see their appointment as a challenge because they are not the best among their peers in Ajaawa community. They further opined that Ajaawa community have been denied access to many infrastructures from the Oyo State Government because Ajaawa community have not been adequately represented from time immemorial.
Speaking on behalf of other members of the committees, Mogaji Jacob Adegbite Adeyemo, of the Ikupoluwusi Ruling House, who is the Chairman, Royal Family Affairs Committee, thanked Oba Oyetunji for counting them worthy of this appointment. He pledge that they would discharge their duties with absolute loyalty, unbiased disposition and with the fear of God.
The six strategic committees Inaugurated are Education; Government Projects; Youth Affairs; Land Dispute; Security; and Royal Family Affairs respectively.
