Aseyin of Iseyin Land, Oba Dr. Abdulganiyy Adekunle Salau, Oloogunebi- Ajinese I has commended members of Ajikobi’s family, Ilorin, Kwara State for tracing their origin and reconnecting to their family members in Iseyin, their origin.
Aseyin gave the commendation while receiving members of Ajikobi family from both Iseyin and Ilorin in his palace at Iseyin recently.
According to the monarch, harmonious relationship has been in existence between Iseyin and Ilorin from the time immemorial because the two cities are two sides of a coin.
According to Oba Dr. Salau, majority of the earlier settlers of Ilorin, Kwara State migrated from Iseyin.
“Till today, the generation of those who migrated from Iseyin to Ilorin do visit their siblings in Iseyin”, Ajinese said.
He charged other subjects of the city in every part of the world to put their origin in mind and ensure that they remember if for good.
The spokesperson of the family from Ilorin, Alhaji Isiaka Ajikobi, Daudu Ipaye, Ilorin, Kwara State, hinted that their forefathers had registered it in their minds that they migrated from Iseyin and that the same information had been disseminated to all their children too.
“Now that we have re- established our relationship with our siblings here in Iseyin, we will make sure that we keep in contact and often we shall be coming home”, Daudu Ipaye disclosed.
The Head of the family in Iseyin and Parakoyi of Iseyin Land, Alhaji Kazeem Akanmu thanked God and appreciated the gestures of his brothers and sisters from Ilorin while praying that Ajikobi’s family all over the globe shall wax stronger and stronger.
Prominent among the members of the family who made the day a memorable one were; Alhaji Busari Olajide, Mrs Bamidele Simiat Toyin, Alhaji Kazeem Abbllahi Ajikobi, Alhaji Sulukarnain Ajikobi, Alhaji Tosin Ajikobi, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Ajikobi, Alhaji Kola Ajikobi, Alhaji, Ahamad Ajikobi, Alhaji Uthman Ajikobi and host of others.
