The community of Ogbomoso is in mourning following the death of Bayo Ogunesan, a close confidant and longtime associate of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala.

Ogunesan, affectionately known as “Ajaguara,” passed away today  after a brief illness

Ogunesan was renowned for his unwavering loyalty and support to Governor Alao-Akala throughout his political career.

Their friendship spanned several decades, marked by mutual respect and a shared commitment to the development of Oyo State. Ogunesan’s contributions were instrumental during Alao-Akala’s tenure as governor, particularly in grassroots mobilization and community engagement.

Community members remember Ogunesan as a pillar of support, whose wisdom and guidance were invaluable to many. His demise is seen as a significant loss to the Ogbomoso community and the political landscape of Oyo State.

Details regarding funeral arrangements will be announced by the family in due course. The community continues to extend heartfelt condolences to the Ogunesan family during this difficult time.
