AIG Odama Cautions Officers On Violation of Social Media Policy, Indiscipline

The AIG Zone XI Command, AIG Paul Ojeka Odama psc (+) cautioned officers on the implications of running a foul of Social Media Policy.

The AIG who was at Oyo State Command on an official working visit. said this while lecturing men of the command on various important topical issues

According to a statement signed by the Force Public Relations Officers Zone 11, Mr Benjamin Ayeni, the police boss said ‘ You must be properly guided in the course of sharing information. You must distance yourselves from sharing cum spreading falsehood.”

He added that “you must verify information before sharing it, in order not to misinform the public or aggravate tension in your respective domains.”

During his lecture, he emphasized on the policy of the Inspector General of Police, Ag IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun Ph.D. NPM; policy of Zero Tolerance for corruption, that no one should be involved with corrupt practices under any circumstances.

The AIG also advised officers and men to take care of their various families and insure their future by being diligent and prudent in spending.

He concluded by sounding a note of warning on the importance of discipline “The police is a noble profession, It stands for Justice and peace, officers must guide against any act capable of tarnishing the good image of the Force.

Proper dressing while in Police uniform, dress as you want to be addressed.

The Commissioner of Police Oyo State Command CP Adebola Hamzat fdc earlier welcomed the AIG and appreciates him for  visiting the command
