Agbarho Community Writes NDDC Over 4km Link Road to Railway Substation

The people of Agbarho Community in Delta state have appealed to the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for the construction of the four kilometres link road to the railway sub station in the community.

Agbarho community in a letter dated January 21, 2021 addressed to the NDDC Managing Director emphasized that the link road is presently in a bad state.

In the letter by the Agbarho (Urhobo) Improvement Union titled ” An Appeal for construction of 4 Kilometres link road to Agbarho rail station” jointly signed by the union President General, Chief Monday Igho Odiphri and Secretary General, Chief Andrew Agbatutu stressed that the bad state of the road has made it unsafe for commuters

“We write for ourselves and on behalf of the Agbarho Community to draw your attention to the above subject matter and to request / appeal to you for the construction of 4 Kilometres link road to the railway sub station in Agbarho”, it said.

The Community added, “this appeal /request became necessary due to the bad state of the road linking the railway sub station, Agbarho community is strategic to its neighbouring communities of Ughelli, Warri , Uvioie, Okpe and Ethiope kingdom of rail commuters”.

According to the community, “furthermore, the bad state of the road makes it unsafe for commuters that travel by rail from Agbarho to the various destinations”

Assuring the NDDC of their cooperation, the Community stressed “we undertake to create all necessary for safe environment for the construction of the road “.
