Hon Segun Dokun Odebunmi has been elected three times consecutively by his constituents to serve in the National Assembly. This is a testament to his exemplary leadership qualities, as there are undoubtedly other qualified individuals in the community, but his leadership style and dedication have earned him the trust and confidence of the people
The Okanlomo of Ogbomosoland who started his political journey as a council chairman knew where the shoe pinches and he has his name already recorded in gold as a representative who uses his position and influence to positively advance the course of his people.
Unlike many politicians who take such advantage to aggrandize wealth and opportunities for themselves, the Oko born businessman selflessness is second to none not because he didnt need money but for his passion to lead and liberate his constituents from being regarded as a second class citizens in their own country.
The lawmaker with unprecedented achievements took many communities out of darkness with provision of transformers and cable connecting them to the National grid, majority of them have been in darkness for over 200 years.
Hon Odebunmi uses the opportunity of being a ranking member and chairman Reps Committee on Information, Nation Orientation ethics and value to facilitate an upgrade for NTA Ogbomoso and establishment of a radio station in his constituency, his intention is to enable the people be informed and get update information about happening in the world at large.
Apart from the annual educational advancement program which he personally sponsored from his income, Hon Odebubmi facilitated infrastructural facilities and ICT centres for so many schools even in the rural areas where it was least expected.
Hon Segun Odebunmi’s achievements are too enormous to mention because he torches all aspect of human life with a view of making life better for the people and what necessitate this writeup is a recent post about how he donated electric cables worth Millions of Naira to connect some communities to the National grid for electricity supply few months after he gave transformer to some communities.
Again while outside office Hon Odebunmi has been facilitating series of training program on different profession for the youths in his constituents, through the trainings which comes with tools and cash support in most cases, majority of the participants have been self dependent
Hon Odebunmi did not shy away from relating with his constituents even after leaving office, unlike many who only milk their constituents and run away , Hon Olusegun has his businesses domiciled within his constituency, engaging people and attracting more development
Let me conclude by using this popular axiom which says “achievements are not measured in castles and cash at hand but by thoughts and visions for the next generation, Hon Odebunmi is not just an achiever but a great resources that should be encourage and projected for a better opportunities because, the higher he goes the better for his constituents.
