The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Right Honourable (Pastor) Kola Oluwawole, has described the death of his Oyo State counterpart, Mr Michael Adeyemo, as a blow to the Conference of Speakers of the House of Assembly in Nigeria.
The Ekiti Speaker, in a statement by his Special Assistant (Media), Stephen Gbadamosi, expressed shock at the demise of the “agile man, who was very active in the committee of Speakers. “
He comisserated with the people of Oyo State and the entire legislators in the country over the demise of Adeyemo, praying to God to give his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“I heard with shock, today, the demise of our dependable ally and an active member of the conference of Speakers of houses of Assembly of Nigeria. It was a sad development. I heard he died of heart attack, and I said death diminishes us.
“He was agile and very active in the committee of Speakers. We will surely miss the man.
I commiserate with the entire people of Oyo State, the government of Oyo State, the entire legislators in the nation and the nation at large. May God console his family over the irreparable loss,” Oluwawole said.
