The political atmosphere in Oyo State assumed a new dimension on Sunday as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) held a high-powered federal constituency meeting in Ogbomoso, covering Ogbomoso South, Ogbomoso North, and Orire Federal Constituency.
Designed as part of the party’s ongoing mobilisation and sensitisation drive, the gathering turned into a spectacle of strength with the electrifying presence of Booda Sunday Adeyemo (BSA) and his massive grassroots following.
The meeting, which drew leaders, party faithful, youth groups, women associations, and community stakeholders, was aimed at consolidating the ADC’s growing influence across Oyo State. But the loudest impact came from Adeyemo, whose presence and rising profile have continued to make waves across the political landscape.
Arriving with what many described as an “army of loyal supporters,” Adeyemo’s entrance was greeted with chants, songs, and applause that temporarily brought the meeting to a halt. His presence not only energized the gathering but also became the focal point of discussions among attendees and political observers.
Speaking at the event, Adeyemo reaffirmed his commitment to the ADC, declaring the party as the credible alternative to the ruling giants in Oyo State politics.
> “We are building a movement, not just a party. ADC represents hope for the masses who have been sidelined by insincere politics for too long. From Ogbomoso to Ibadan, from Oyo to Ibarapa, we are mobilising a new generation of leaders who will put the people first,” Adeyemo said, as the crowd roared in approval.
Party leaders at the constituency level hailed Adeyemo, describing him as a man whose goodwill and grassroots connection will translate into massive gains for the party. The constituency chairman noted that the ADC has begun to “gain unstoppable momentum” across Oyo State, stressing that the Ogbomoso meeting marked a new chapter in the party’s consolidation.
Observers noted that Adeyemo’s goodwill is already swelling the ADC’s ranks, with many defectors from other parties signaling readiness to join forces with him. Several youths in attendance carried placards with inscriptions such as “BSA is the Future” and “ADC is Our Home,” underscoring the excitement generated by his entry.
The meeting ended with resolutions to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the next general elections, as leaders vowed to spread the ADC’s message of accountability, inclusiveness, and people-driven governance to every ward in the constituency.
For political analysts, the Ogbomoso meeting was not just another party gathering — it was a loud statement that the ADC, powered by Adeyemo and other rising figures, is fast becoming a major force in Oyo politics.
