A gubernatorial aspitant of the Peoples Democractic Party in Oyo state Senator Ayoade Adeseun has called for the cancellations of today’s primary.
He alleged that the delegate’s lists has been doctored and many of his supporters have been removed from the lists.
The former Federal lawmaker said he has channeled his protest to the appropriate quarters and demanded that another date is fixed for free credible and fair primaries.
Senator Adeseun while speaking with Journalists at Liberty stadium venue of the primary said he had initiated a legal action to stop the process and would not hesistate to continue with the legal action if the issue is not addressed.
He maintained that he would not decamped from the party which he has helped to re build after 2015 election when the chiefs were down
“it may interest you to know that even in my local government, 57 names were fraudulently inserted into the delegates’ list.
“And people who were never delegates were brought in here. We have written a letter to the chairman of the primary committee that this process is seriously flawed. Because we knew this thing was going to happen; we suspected it and we wrote a letter to the National Chairman about 10days ago and up till today the Chairman of the party and neither the Secretary nor the Organizing secretary has replied. If as at yesterday, I could not see the delegates list until few hours ago, it shows that something is fishy and I cannot be a party to such an arrangement,” Adeseun alleged.
He left the mainbowl of the stadium around 1:38pm in convoy of his entourage.
But Mr Dare Adeleke, Director Seyi Makinde Campaign organization said the allegations is unfounded and not valid because Adeseun was part of the process of selecting the delegates.
Adeleke maintained that the lawmaker left because he has seen a sign of defeat.
