It is gratifying listening to a traditional ruler most unexpectedly pouring encomium on His Excellency during our encounter few hours ago.

The Kabiyesi had called me to confirm the information about my assignment in His Excellency’s administration.

Understanding my specific designation–Community Communication–,he spoke the minds of his fellow royal fathers, especially those, who alongside him, publicly endorsed the second term of the ex-Governor Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola.

He said His Excellency started his administration with a sense of maturity in the spirit of forgiveness he demonstrated. I asked him of details. Willingly and enthusiastically, he obliged me with words of assurance that His Excellency would laugh last, regardless the ongoing gang-up against him.

He said despite that His Excellency was aware of their partisanship before and during the July I6 elections, he showed a large heart to them after the November 27 inauguration by paying their monthly stipends he inherited from Oyetola.

He also revealed that the ongoing borehole projects are being implemented with due respect to traditional rulers, unlike what, he said, obtained in the Oyetola administration. He also said the bags of Xmas rice from His Excellency reached his palace and his chiefs, also in contrast to the Oyetola era.

He concluded that he saw a bright future and bigger picture of Osun State and the people under His Excellency’s administration.

Though I sought not his permission to share our conversation, not disclosing his identity has taken care of that code of confidentiality.

On this Kabiyesi’s wish and prayers I stand.
