The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has approved the dissolution of all non-statutory boards in the state with immediate effect.
Spokesperson to the Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed disclosed this in a statement
According to the statement ,the directive was conveyed to heads of ministries, departments and agencies by the Secretary to the State Government, Hon Teslim Igbalaye.
The memo directing the MDAs to give effect to the dissolution reads as folows: “As a follow-up to the pronouncement of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, on Sunday, 27th November, 2022, all non-statutory Boards, Commissions and Parastatals including those of Tertiary Institutions (with exception of UNIOSUN) are hereby dissolved in the State forthwith”
“Consequently, all Accounting Officers of such Boards, Parastatals and Commissions are to take charge with immediate effect”, the directive noted.
Also, the governor on Tuesday, met with leaders of Labour Unions in the state with all trade union sectors duly represented by their leaders.
The Governor who used the occasion to appreciate the workers for their support before, during and after the Governorship Election which produced him as governor of Osun State reiterated his commitment to workers welfare and promised to institute policies that will promote their wellbeing.
Speaking on behalf of workers, Comrade Adebowale Adekola assured the governor of readiness of the state workforce to support him in his quest to accelerate development in the state.
Com Adebowale prayed God to strengthen the governor to continue in his rich history of a leader with fear of God, passion and compassion for the people.
