Award winning Adekunle gold , Aralola and other young and old musicians  last week  thrilled the audience with electrifying and breath-taking  performances at the 8th edition of Mare Festival in Idanre

Apart from Adekunle gold and Aralola, an upcoming artist Adeola Ademulegun also did a superlative job with his unique rapping style which he did for about 30 minuites non stop

Ace musician and an indigene of Idanre  Pa Francis Akintade also got the governor of Ondo state Dr Olusegun Mimiko,  Owa of Idanre, Oba Fredirick Aroloye and host of others dancing for several minutes

Mare festival is an annual even organized by Ondo state government to  celebrate the culture and tradition as well as showcase the cultural heritage of Ondo and Idanre in particular

Over the years various artsist including Obesere, 9ice, Jayone, Tuface  Idibia and many others have performed during the festival .

Mmiko in his remarks said the  performace cut across the young and old generations ‘ from the young stars including Adekunle gold who perform to the over 70 years old francis Akintade who thrilled the audience with scintillating performance and that is what we are celebrating , excellence, creativity and unity.

He commended the artists and cultural ambassadors  including Funsho Adeolu, Yomi fashlanso,  Bimbo Oshin, Bimbo Adesanyo and host of others for supporting Mare

Mare 2016 is the last Mare which Mmiko will be attending in his official capacity and the executive governor of Ondo state  and he express optimism that his successor will continue with the festival
