It was another moment of commendation for Senator Abdulfatai Buhari, Senator Representing Oyo North Senatorial District as he commissions two ICT centre and 2blocks of classroom in Saki.
The project commissioned commissioned includes, Modern ICT center at Baptist High School, Idi Araba, Saki,Knowledge Access Venue ( ICT ) at Tawunu Secondary School, Opomalu , Saki. and 2 Blocks of Classrooms with Office & store at L.A Primary school, Taaba, Saki.
In his opening remark, the lawmaker harps on the need for people to acquire ICT knowledge and use it for positive advancement of their communities and Nigeria at large
” What is trending in the world now is ICT driven economy, everybody need to comply irrespective of geographical location and status and i am quite optimistic that this development will provide opportunities for our people in Saki and its environs to acquired required knowledge and move forward.
While admonishing the students to be focus, Dr Buhari said ” consistency, prayer and determination to succeed are the only secret that will help you to go far in life.”
Buhari who is also the chairman Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime however restate his commitment to the development of the Senatorial district, Oyo state and Nigeria at large.
The APC chieftain also urge the people not to lose faith in the party which he said would continue to promote unity and transform Nigeria into a better country.
Some of people who speak at the event said Senator Buhari has not failed in discharging his responsibilities as a lawmaker representing the district in Abuja
Some of the teachers and student who spoke on behalf of others described the gestures as an effort that will go a long way in shaping the future of the younger generations and commended Senator Buhari.
Oyo North Senatorial Chairman Alhaji Rasaq Alawiye who led hundreds of APC members to the commissioning said ” We are proud of him and that was why we returned his ticket unopposed , he is passionate about the transformation of our state especially Oke Ogun and that reflected in his move for the establishment of University in Oke Ogun as well as facilitation of some projects for the district
