The Aare of Ibadanland and Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States, His Eminence Alhaji (Dr.) Dawud Makanjuola Akinola, has extended warm felicitations to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, on the celebration of his 90th birthday.
In a goodwill message issued by his Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Faysol Oluwakemi, the Aare described Oba Olakulehin as a revered monarch whose reign embodies wisdom, humility, and a steadfast commitment to peace, justice, and the rich cultural heritage of Ibadanland.
The Aare noted that the monarch’s ascension to the throne was historic and that his leadership has continued to be a source of blessing, not only to the people of Ibadan but to the entire Yoruba race.
“As a spiritual and community leader, I join numerous well-wishers across the globe to celebrate this remarkable milestone. I pray for Kabiyesi’s sound health, long life, and a reign marked by enduring peace and progress,” he said.
He further called on all sons and daughters of Ibadan to use the occasion to reflect on the values of unity, tradition, and collective development that the Olubadan institution represents.
The Aare concluded by offering heartfelt congratulations to the monarch and wishing him continued strength on the throne.
“May the throne continue to flourish. Long live Olubadan,” he said.
