As Muslims around the world observe Eid al-Adha, a significant Islamic festival symbolizing sacrifice, faith, and obedience, the Aare Musulumi of Yoruba Land, Edo, and Delta States, Alhaji (Dr.) Dawud Makanjuola Akinola (De-Damak), has extended warm felicitations to the global Muslim Ummah.

Special Assistant on Media and Communications to His Eminence, Aare Musulumi described Eid al-Adha as a sacred occasion that reminds Muslims of the exemplary devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and encourages acts of sacrifice, sharing, and community unity.
Alhaji Akinola conveyed his heartfelt Eid greetings to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, commending their leadership and praying for divine wisdom and strength as they steer the country toward progress.
He also extended goodwill to all state governors, appreciating their efforts in promoting peace and development across their respective states.
The Aare Musulumi further praised the President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, for his consistent role in promoting Islamic unity and peaceful coexistence in the nation.
Special recognition was given to the League of Imams and Alfas across Yoruba Land, Edo, and Delta States, for their unwavering commitment to spiritual leadership and service to the Islamic faith. The Aare also acknowledged the contributions of religious, political, and traditional leaders across Nigeria.
As Muslims mark this sacred occasion, Aare Musulumi prayed that Almighty Allah accepts all sacrifices, answers prayers, and blesses the faithful with peace, prosperity, and joy.
“Eid Mubarak. Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum,” he said in conclusion.
