The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the arrest of two suspects in connection with the recent deadly attacks in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State. This development follows the visit of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to the state on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

In a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the IGP strongly condemned the attacks, describing them as “utterly reprehensible” and a “grave assault on the peace and security of the nation.”

According to the police, the suspects currently in custody are assisting investigators as efforts continue to uncover the motive behind the killings and track down other perpetrators.

To further respond to the crisis, the IGP has ordered the immediate deployment of more police personnel and resources to Plateau State. Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Operations, Kwazhi Dali Yakubu, has been tasked with coordinating the operations and engaging with affected communities.
