Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, popularly known as Wolekanle, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Yekeen Adeojo, a revered member of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He extended heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the late elder statesman, praying for strength and comfort for them during this difficult time.
Wolekanle, in a statement made available to the press, described Alhaji Adeojo as a pillar in the political landscape of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
According to him, the late Adeojo’s wisdom, experience, and unwavering commitment to the PDP played a significant role in stabilizing and strengthening the party in the state.
“His death is not just a loss to his family, but also to the PDP family in Oyo State and the nation. Baba was a rare gem whose footprints will remain indelible,” he said.
Wolekanle also recalled the fatherly role Alhaji Adeojo played in mentoring young politicians, stressing that his absence will be deeply felt by all who benefited from his counsel and guidance. He urged party members to uphold the values and principles that the late leader stood for.
He concluded by praying for the peaceful repose of Alhaji Adeojo’s soul and called on all PDP members to unite in honoring his memory by remaining steadfast and committed to the growth of the party in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
