The Executive Chairman of Saki West Local Government, Hon. Gbenga Akinola has successfully resolved the garage dispute between the Park Management System (PMS) Saki chapter and the local government. The dispute centered on the alleged sale of the Ogbooro Motor Park, which prompted a protest by PMS members yesterday.
According to the PMS Chairman, Alh OSA, the local government chairman had reportedly made moves to sell the Ogbooro garage, but it was unclear whether the land had been sold or leased. However, the Chairman of Ogbooro Garage had approached the chairman to dispose of the land, emphasizing that the present administration prioritizes development and represents the people’s interests.
The Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on constituency matters, Alh Oluwakemi, urged the PMS members to maintain peace, assuring them that the garage land remains intact and unaffected by the allegations that sparked the protest.
The former caretaker Chairman of Saki West Local Government, Alh Mudasiru Eruobodo, faulted the PMS Saki chapter for sending a negative signal to the government and community, while they tender an apology to the Chairman on behalf of the PMS Saki.
Following the resolution, the PMS officials requested consideration for relocating to a new site with adequate facilities, ensuring their demands were met.
