Tinubu Approves ₦147.9bn for Completion of Oyo-Ogbomoso Road

President Tinubu has approved the completion of the dualization of the Oyo-Ogbomoso Road in Oyo State, Monday 3rd March 2025.

The President also approved the budget to complete the outstanding works on Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano, Section II Kaduna-Zaria within 12 months.

This was disclosed by the Special Adviser to President (Media and Public Communications), Chief Sunday Dare CON FNIS, in a post  on his X account, after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Monday afternoon.

The newly approved road completion project, which will now be handled by Mssrs JRB Construction Co. Ltd, has a total cost of N147, 887,810,833,.87.

Recall that some weeks ago, the contract of the road project was terminated, as a result of abandonment and long term lagging; to which the President promised to re-award soon, this has now been fulfilled.

The Presidential Spokesperson stated in part that, “President Tinubu is fully aware of the importance of the entire road, especially the uncompleted Ibadan-Ilorin section is committed to easing the pains experienced by haulage  trailers, moving goods and agricultural products from the North to Lagos”; so also, the  pains of other road users, especially students”.
