Open letter to Governor Seyi Makinde on Apete- Akufo Road. by Oluremi Gbenga

Your Excellency, i write to appreciate you on the construction of the first ever concrete road by state government in Oyo state which you did for us in Apete and other community around, it is indeed a big relief from the inglorious past when we use to spend hours on road which ordinarily shouldn’t take five minutes.

The road has no doubt enhance rapid development in the entire community, in the past two years so many businesses have been established and more are still coming into the old town which you have graciously turned into a city within the city.

HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Your excellency, there is urgent need to install  speed breakers or  speed bumps on the road, especially at some strategic locations and junctions on the road,  the number of carnage on the road is alarming especially by reckless cyclist and car owners.

Honestly, several people have died while many have become disbaled due to accident on the road, please your Excellency do something urgently regarding the request sir

Secondly sir, there is urgent need to fix the alternative routes in Apete and its environs, the road from Ajibode junction to Apete is in a bad state as we speak, Apete Junction to olomo which link the new express road is in shamble, most of the link bridges in some of this community have collapsed and they are beyond what the communities can fix, they need state urgent intervention

Fixing some of this roads including Lifeforte Junction to Unity at Ologuneru and Awotan to Alakuta to the bank of Eleyele river will make movement easier and reduce the heavy traffic on the major roads.

Giving a special attention to Eleyele lake will also enhance tourism activities in that location.

Honestly your administration have tried for the community and we the residents will continue to appreciate you for restoring our lost hope on the road and we shall be grateful if you can help us consider the requests as soon as possible.

God bless you sir
