Seasoned Journalist, Mr. Tunde Ayanda and prominent Oshogbo-born politician Princess Gbonjubola Adebayo have been appointed into the official Advisory Board of Peat Philips Foundation,
The foundation is renowned for organizing The International Spelling Bee Nigeria and The Young Orators Competition.
Adebayo has taken up the mantle as the new head of the advisory board, while Ayanda Ayotunde assumes the role of an executive member.
This announcement was made during a media-briefing at the Ideal Nest Hotel in Oshogbo, where the Country’s Head of Foundation, Akinleye Olu-Philips, shed light on principles governing these appointments.
Akinleye, a media and communications expert, emphasized the valuable contribution that Ayanda, being an accomplished journalist with years of media industry experience, will bring to the Peat Philips Foundation.
He also highlighted that Princess Adebayo’s appointment serves as a testament to the foundation’s respect and admiration for her tireless efforts in advancing education throughout Africa.
Her numerous initiatives aimed at supporting children and youth, particularly her dedication to mentorship and development, played a pivotal role in her selection.

She grew up in the palace of the late Oba Oyewale Matanmi, the 111th Ataoja of Osogbo”
She pursued her education in International Relations at Edo State University in Ekpoma, Nigeria, and furthered her studies with a focus on Developmental Service at CLI College of Business Health and Technology in Canada.
Additionally, she has a history in politics, having previously contested for a seat in the Osun State House of Assembly.
In her acceptance speech, Princess Adebayo expressed her joy at the opportunity to collaborate with this international organization.
She views her appointment as a call to redouble her efforts, pledging to leverage her new role to advance her passion for supporting children and advocating for education and its core principles
