A group, Maja-Maja, has congratulated the Ibadan-born philanthropist and Chairman of Ilaji Hotel and Resort, Engr. Dotun Sanusi, on his elevation to the position of Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland.

The group in a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Comrade Adesina Akinpelu, described Engr. Sanusi’s elevation as a special 55th birthday gift from his Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Lekan Balogun, the Olubadan of Ibadanland.

It should be noted that the new Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland will turn 55 years of age on October 17, 2023.

Maja-Maja in the congratulatory message, noted that Engr. Sanusi has been contributing tremendously to the development of Ibadanland since he became Mogaji of Olugbade Compound in 2019.

The group added that Engr. Sanusi was obviously considered for the promotion to the position of Jagun Olubadan because of his love and passion for Ibadanland.

The group maintained that this reflected in the letter of appointment to the Ibadan–born business tycoon by the Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Maja-Maja noted that if we can have more of Engr. Sanusi, who have the love Ibadanland more than politics, Ibadanland will soon be like paradise.

“The new Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland has shown commitments to the development of Ibadan for international investors to come and do their businesses in the city. He makes sure that security of Ibadanland is guaranteed”, the group added.

Maja-Maja, however, urged other wealthy sons and daughters of Ibadanland to emulate Engr. Sanusi.
