The re-election of Governor Seyi Makinde, the PDP governorship candidate, in the 2023 election on friday received a boost as Arewa Community in Oke-Ogun declared their unflinching support for Governor Makinde’s re- election.
The development was at the instances of the newly appointed Governing Council Chairman, The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Barr. Sarafadeen Lateef Abiola also known as ONIJO who hosted the Serikis and Coordinators of Arewa communities across the 10 local government areas of Oke-Ogun at Abeje Hall, Saki on Friday..

Onijo in his welcome adress itemized the laudable works of Governor Seyi Makinde across the state, adding that gone are those days that people travelled to Ibadan then without having stop over on roads to clean the dust.
Onijo narrated how people travelled to ibadan in pains and several hours while commending the Governor for being a responsive type to the yearnings of the good people of Oyo state.
He further stated that the installation of Oba Khalid Olabisi as Okere of Saki, the renovation and upgrade of the Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA) headquarters, the stadium, and the Primary Health Center, all of which are located in Saki town, are some of the governor’s many numerous achievements.
Onijo maintained that the present administration in the state has embarked on many laudable developmental projects in Oke Ogun including the construction of Saki to Iseyin road, Iseyin to Moniya, among others.
He added that the administration’s achievements in Oke-ogun zone cuts across the areas of road infrastructure, health, agribusiness and others.
Speaking on behalf of the non indigenes group, Professor Musa said, they noted that Governor Makinde’s excellent leadership and his enormous achievements across boards make their support inviolate.
“We have decided to support the governor’s reelection campaign because of the way he has altered the state, affecting all facets of human growth, and because we know that our own man, Onijo, will continue to uphold our interests”, they declared.
In attendance include chairman of saki West local govt, Hon. Omirinde, PDP Women leader, All Councillors, Supervisory Councillors as well as other dignitaries.
