Senator Representing Oyo South Senatorial District Dr Kola Balogun will officially join for the All Progressives Congress APC Today
Balogun who won election on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party in 2019 is the younger brother of the new Olubadan of Ibadan Oba Sen

The lawmaker left PDP few days ago after he was denied the second term ticket by Governor Seyi Makinde who supported a new defector Engr Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe against him
His resignation letter reads :”I, Senator Dr. Kola Balogun, senator presently representing Oyo South Senatorial District at the 9th Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Abuja, hereby tender my membership resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party of Nigeria, with effect from today 28th April, 2022.
“I thank the party for giving me the opportunity to serve my people in the capacity of a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and your cooperation which I enjoyed till the month of April 2022.
“I wish the party the best of luck. I thank you,” Senator Kola Balogun, who, until his resignation, was the only PDP senator from Oyo State in the ninth Senate, stated in the resignation letter
The senator who is pitching his tent with the faction of Senatof Teslim Kolawole Folarin a former Senate leader, would be recieved into the party by the Chairman and other key stakeholders in APC today
Balogun may be seeking re-election under the platform of APC but some party members and aspirants are warning the leaders against imposing the lawmakers on them
