A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Oyo State and Governorship Aspirant in 2023, Chief Adeniyi Akintola, SAN, has thrown his weight behind moves of Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, on his desire to succeed his boss, President Muhammadu Buhari comes 2023.
Chief Akintola, SAN said this during Oyo APC stakeholders meeting with the Vice President at held at Civic center Idi Ape Ibadan on Friday, 22 April 2022.
The legal luminary also described Professor Osinbajo as a man with a stabilizing influence, who understands the political terrain and can sustain the party structure of the party, polity, security, and economy.
Chief Akintola SAN, who also described Prof Yemi Osinbajo as a leader who has a Unique Selling Proposition over other Aspirants.
Chief Akintola alongside his hundreds of Supporters had earlier accompanied the vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo from Ibadan Airport to the palace of Olubadan of Ibadan land.
The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba sen. Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade ll, offered his prayer for the law professor, who was at the Palace in continuation of his visitation to States ahead of the primary election of his party, All Progressive Congress(APC) holding in May.
Prof. Osinbajo while addressing his numerous supporters said his decision to contest the presidency was made in the realization of the need to put into use the country’s almost seven and a half years of tutelage he had under the president.
According to him ” Nigeria needs all who are willing to serve to attain her potentials”. He said he came to Ibadan to confer with the party delegates on his intention to run for the presidency which he formally declared on the 14th, of April, 2022.
