The newly established Oyo State Veterans Labour Leaders have been
commended for setting a very strong, reliable and progressive forum for the
retired Labour Leaders in the State and the Country in general.
Making this known is Comrade Mike Ade Olanrewaju, the General
Secretary, National Union of Food, Beverage and Tobacco Employees
While paying an unscheduled visitation to the Association with the two
Labour Centres and JNC in the State, that is, the Nigerian labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the joint negotiation Council (JNC) held at the NLC State Secretariat, Idi-Ape, Ibadan
Comrade Olanrewaju opined that with the existence of the group it will enable all past Labour Leaders to continue exhibit their talents in a more dignify way in assisting current Labour Leaders in the Country
He commended Oyo State for being a good Pacesetter for others to
emulate, that someone like him is happy that after retirement, there
are places to accommodate him to exhibit his talents and experiences
br the continued progress of the Union.
Earlier in his welcome remarks, the President of the Association of Oyo State Labour Veterans, Comrade Ibrahim Bolomope while appreciating the representative of the National Secretariat of NLC for finding time to say hello to them, he took time to explain the aims and objectives of the Association to the gathering which includes advisory roles and guidance to the present Labour Leaders in the State.
