The Founder of the Triple – A Charity Foundation, Com. Raji Abdul Malik has revealed that the reason behind the establishment of his charity foundation as a student is because of his concern for the welfarism and wellbeing of fellow students in Polytechnic, Ibadan and other tertiary institutions in Oyo State.
Com. Raji Abdul Malik, a fresh graduate from the Department of Accountancy who doubles as the President of the Federation of Ibadan Student Union (FIBSU), The Polytechnic, Ibadan in an interview with Kehinde Ayanboade shortly after the foundation’s outreach to students in the “Exam Relief Package 2.0” for Polytechnic, Ibadan students maintained that he established the foundation due to his love to always helping Students.
Raji maintained that the first batch of the “Exam Relief Package” catered for over 100 students adding that the motive behind the outreach is to assist students take care of their stomach infrastructure during the ongoing examination.
“I am a Student Leader, and I’m very much concerned about the wellbeing and welfarism of student. I’ve had the opportunity to receive lots of students coming to seek help for series of financial constraints they are facing in the institution.
“We have been able to realize the fact that most of our parents don’t have the capability to take care of all our financial needs. And as a leader who has little opportunity and heads-up, we wish to use this opportunity to assist our fellow students across the institutions in Oyo state.
“This foundation basically centers on development and empowerment of the Youths. We are looking into helping students cater for some of their basic needs. To assist and support students of Tertiary institutions not limited to Polytechnic, Ibadan alone but to all institutions in all the shores of Oyo State and beyond.
“Lots of people pledged their support for the Foundation when it was launched but very few responded. We need assistance from cheerful givers, and we also want to use this opportunity to call on Media organizations both online and mainstream to assist in the campaign of this great initiative.”
When questioned about if the foundation is being sponsored by Politicians or created for political motive, Com. Raji Abdul Malik noted that that the foundation is not a political organization.
“We are not a political organization, we are a charity initiative with the aim to assist students but we are open to partnership and sponsorship from anyone who deem it fit to assist this association to actualize it’s goals. The major challenge we are facing is financial constraints, we need adequate financing and support to sustain and move the goal of this great initiative to its dream place.”
Beneficiaries of the Exam Relief Package 2.0 outreach while speaking with our reporter extolled the virtues of the initiative as they shower encomium on the founder for thinking of such great idea to assist students.
Olayinka Ifeoluwa, An ND2 student from Science and Laboratory Technology department described the foundation as a “life saver” which a lot of students have benefitted from.
“This foundation is a very great foundation that help we students, they provide food and other things for us, to help through our Exam, I pray God bless Tripple A abundantly.”
An ND2 student of Business Administration department, Adeyemo Suliyat, Odekunle Suliyat from HND1 Marketing department, Awoyemi Emmanuel of HND1 Accountancy department in their separate remarks claimed the Exam Relief package came at a time it was aptly needed. They described the current situation of students as “Igbẹyin Poly” claiming the package will assist students to focus well on their exams.
