Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has on Monday said that Ladoke Akintola University Ogbomosho (LAUTECH) will be muliti-campus.
Engr Makinde disclosed this while addressing the student of the University, led by Oyo State (NANS) president and LAUTECH Student Union president, Olabiyi Anthony who paid him a thank you visit at the Government Secretariat in Ibadan.
Hundreds of students of the citadel of learning were in Ibadan to thank the Governor for securing the sole ownership of the Institution, which they believe would bring an end to the lingering crises rocking the Institution over the years.
Engr. Makinde said, “I came to you during electioneering campaign and I promised to work for you, and that’s what exactly what we are doing now.”
He said further that “LAUTECH has the opportunity for research and learning, and opportunity to be multi-campus. Recalled that Nigerian University commission on Friday conferred the sole ownership of the Institution previously owned by Oyo and Osun to Oyo state, after years of deliberation.
Similarly, member of the House of Assembly from Iseyin-Itesiwaju, Hon. Adeola, requested for campuses of Ladoke Akintola University during the plenary where Engr. Makinde presented 2021, Budget, the acknowledged the effort of Engr Makinde in restoring the glory of Ladoke Akintola University.
Also, some of the students, thanked Governor Makinde for making LAUTECH a reality. They promised their unalloyed support and cooperation with his government.
