Oyo State government has confirmed the discharge of Thirty – Seven (37) patients who have been tested negative of the CoronaVirus disease, and has also record Twenty-nine (29) new cases of the virus from 10 Local Goverment Areas.
The Oyo state government made this known in the state COVID-19 task force update for July 27 shared by the state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde in series of tweets on Tuesday afternoon.
Makinde in his tweet explained that the total of discharged patients has reached One thousand, one hundred and eighty-three (1183) while the total number of cases confirmed has reached Two thousand, five hundred and ninety-nine (2599).
The tweet reads;
“Thirty-seven confirmed COVID-19 cases received their second NEGATIVE test results and have been discharged. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to 1183.”
“Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for twenty-nine suspected cases came back POSITIVE.”
“The cases are from Ido (8), Akinyele (5), Egbeda (3), Ibadan South East (3), Ibadan North (2), Lagelu (2), Oluyole (2), Ona Ara (2), Ibadan North West (1) and Ibadan South West (1) Local Government Areas. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is 2599.”
