The Oyo state government has sacked some suspended members of the management of the Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki due to irregularities in their appointments.
This development was disclosed on Tuesday by the state Commissioner for Education, Barr. Olasunkanmi Olaleye, while briefing the State House Correspondents shortly after the state Exco meeting.
Barr. Olaleye added that the school’s account would be audited and anyone found wanting would be made to refund.
Also speaking at the press briefing, the state Commissioner for Justice, Professor Oyelowo Oyewo, revealed that the state government has proscribed the activities of all the butchers’ unions in the state including those at the Amosun Central Abattoir.
Professor Oyelowo further explained that the action became necessary following the lingering crisis among Butchers’ Unions in the state.
In his speech, the state Commissioner for health, Dr. Bashir Bello, stated that no reported cases of Lassa Fever or Corona virus have been recorded in the state due to the proactive measures taken by state government at preventing the chronic diseases.
