Oyo State House of Assembly on Wednesday rejected the nomination of Oyedokun Oyeniyi Timothy as the caretaker-chairman, in charge of Ogbomosho South local government.
We gathered that the rejection followed the petition filed by aggrieved protesters among other reasons, received from the council’s party executives, saying that the nominee was not an indegene of the local government and thus not qualify to administer it.
Oyeniyi, popularly known as Adamawa was the only candidate rejected by the house, out of the 68 names earlier sent to it by the governor.

The majority leader of the house, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin moved that the house accept and approved the report of the committee as presented seconded by Hon. Ayo Fatokun.
The Speaker of the Oyo state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin congratulated the executive governor of Oyo state for his victory at the supreme court.
