Kwara Governor Receives N100m Looted Fund from EFCC.

Kwara state governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has received a check of 100 Million Naira from the Economic Financial and Crimes commission, EFCC

The governor who disclosed this on his tweeter page @RealAARahman said “Today, I was at the @official EFCC office in Ilorin to receive the sum of 100 million Naira which is part of the looted funds recovered by the agency from actors in the previous administration.

We applaud the EFCC for the job done so far and we believe they will work even harder to recover more from those who stole mindlessly from our common wealth in Kwara state.

The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu,recently  disclosed that the agency recovered over 100 million Naira for the Kwara State Government from alleged corrupt officials in the state.

EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, in a statement quoted Magu as making the declaration while speaking to Isyaku Sharu, the zonal head of EFCC office in Ilorin during a visit to the Ilorin office of the News Agency of Nigeria in the Kwara State capital.

Further, he said, “We started our full operations in Ilorin Zonal Office sometimes in February 2019, our operations cut across all areas, We have recovered over one hundred million naira cash belonging to the Kwara State Government, this money was stolen by politicians and prominent individuals within the State.
