In line with the directive of the Inspector-General of Police that police officers should engage in regular sporting activities so as to be mentally and physically fit, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone XI, Leye Oyebade, mni led officers and men of the Zonal Headquarters to participate in weekly sporting activities at the Zonal Command Headquarters, Osogbo today.
The AIG who expressed satisfaction with the level of turn out, stressed the importance of sports in the overall well-being of individuals, and that a healthy policeman would, no doubt, be an asset to the Force.
He therefore admonished police officers to ensure regular participation in the exercise, assuring that the Inspector- General of Police, Ibrahim Adamu, NPM, mni, would continue to promote sports development in the Nigeria Police Force.
