The Oyo State governor elect, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Sunday said that his administration will rely on the wisdom of God for direction and guidance
Makinde disclose while speaking with newsmen on Sunday during a Thanksgiving service at The Cathedral of St. Peter, Aremo, Ibadan, Oyo State.
He added that everybody will benefit from the new government irrespective of the religious or political affiliations.
“I thank God because my victory was by the mercy of God, although people use to say that no body can come to government without sacrificing something, electioneering is over and we need to deliver to the people who has giving us their mandates”.
He however urged the people to cast away the spirit of partisanship and cooperate with the new administration for the development of Oyo State.
In his sermon, the Provost of The Cathederal of S.T Peter, Aremo, Ibadan, The Very Reverend Andrew Adebiyi while reading from the Bible passage of 1st King Chapter 12, verse 7 said that all Oyo people and all souls in Oyo State is precious before God, and the governor elect should always cater for them.
He commended the governor elect by visiting the incumbent governor, Abiola Ajimobi in his office, noting that this has shown that Engineer Seyi Makinde is not doing politics of bitterness.
“Don’t miss hour of worship, don’t let government business hindered you from hours of worship in the house of God”.
He however urged Christian to continue praying for the new government so that God can lead him in his administration, adding that Christian should participate actively in politics.
