Nollywood popular actor, Olumide Bakare, on Saturday succumbed to the cold hand of death after a long battle with respiratory disorder problem.
He has been battling with this ailment for some times and spend months at the University College Hospital in Ibadan
Reacting to the death Dele Odule , the National President of Theater Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria – TAMPAN – said we “sympathies with the family, relatives, friends and all other professional body over the loss of one of our member Olumide Bakare popularly known as Chief Koko, a sobriquet he got from his outstanding performance in a television sitcom in the mid 80’s “KOKOs CLOSE”.
.”A total thespian who holds nothing back in the delivery of his role, a well loved actor of immeasurable values.
“Olumide Bakare will forever be remembered for his outstanding roles both in films and stage performances”.
