The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso 1, has described as enormous the implication of the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus.
In his Easter message to the people, the first class monarch who lamented the increased rate of suicide among Nigerians in recent times, reasoned that with the death and resurrection of Christ, all the machinations of the enemy could always be reversed, if you partner with God.
According to Oba Adetunji, you don’t have to jump into the Lagoon or hang yourself because of economic depression. Those who believe in God always laugh last.
The Olubadan contented that it is wrong to have the celebration of Easter without the substance, adding that the substance is that Jesus Christ died, he was buried, he is risen and alive.
He therefore counselled all the well-meaning people in the society to have consideration for the poor and the needy in the spirit of Easter.
