An expert in Digital Media, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and founder of CEOAfrica Media Platform, Mr. Cletus Sunday Ilobanafor has been invited by the African Union to speak at the Consultation and planning workshop on African Languages and the Cyberspace in Gaborone, Botswana on June 21-22, 2018.
The United Nations (UN) Ambassador for peace, will be delivering a lecture on ‘‘The Use of Online TV to Promote African Languages and Africa as a Continent’’ at the workshop on the 22nd of June.
The workshop will however, focus on Computational linguistics, Broadcasting/Cloud Publicity, Folktale digitalization, Robotic language technology networking and software development, Corpus development and many more, in order to surmount the challenges facing the lack of effective presence of African languages on the cyberspace and determine the way forward to increase their presence and apply human language technology to them.
Prince Cletus, a man whose burning passion is to see Africa emerge the world economic power come 2060, believes that Africa is endowed with human, capital and mineral resources and if well harnessed will situate Africa as the hope of the world
