Ogunwuyi Commissions Another Set of Classrooms in Ogbomoso

The lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North/South/Oriire federal constituency at the upper chamber of the  House of Representatives, Segun Ogunwuyi, on Wednesday commissioned   another set of two blocks of   modern classrooms in his constituency

The  buildings were located at Community Basic School, Idi-Ayin  and  C. A. C Primary School, Obamo/Olode all at Oriire Local Government

Ogunwuyi while commissioning the projects said the educational support programs were initiated to complement the effort of Oyo state  Governor, Senator Abiola  Ajimobi’s commitment to boost education and to create a conducive environment for the pupils to learn in the town.

According to a press statement signed by his media aide, Peter Ayoade, the lawmaker said the construction of the two schools were in fulfillment of his  electoral promise to reach out to humanity irrespective of party affiliation

Ogunwuyi who was represented by Hon Akano  said , he consider quality education as the right of every child especially in the basic level and believes it is an absolute pre-requisite for sustainable development and also feels its availability and provision is not only the responsibility of the government but the society at large.

Mr. Adegoke Moses who is the PTA Chairman of C. A. C Primary School, Obamo/Olode lauded Ogunwuyi for his various initiatives aimed at catering for acquiring knowledge of the growing population of the town and making modern classrooms available to the pupils.

He particularly commended him for his developmental strides in the last three years, saying the projects were indeed laudable.

“I commend the lawmaker for development and strides he recorded within the first three years of representation. I recognize the push of the lawmaker in reforming education sector especially the constructions of the modern classrooms Reform Projects which will make the classrooms which consist of modern chairs and desks, fan and electricity available to the pupils and teachers to aid assimilation and teaching respectively”.

 

Pastor S. O Jayeola who is the PTA Chairman of Community Basic School, Idi-Ayin and as well the representative of the community acknowledged the lawmaker’s vision to revamping the education system of the land of Valiants. “We are astonished about the 21st century classrooms facilitated by Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi and it is presently the first of its kinds in our community as no classroom in our community schools has the amenities that were made available in Ogunwuyi’s facilitated classrooms. I commend him for the job well done to create a well conducive learning environment for our children,” pastor Jayeola said.

 

While assuring the lawmaker’s plans for education, Mr. Oguntoye M. A, the Ogbomoso South Local Government APC chairman said Ogunwuyi remained committed to the education system of Ogbomosoland as a program to support education is in existence which is tagged Ogunwuyi Education Support Program where educational relieve materials had been distributed to so many students, and also distributed modern school chairs and tables to create an enabling environment for learning.

 

Earlier, Mr. Solomon Ayanlola, the Ogbomoso North Local Government APC chairman had employed the teachers and students to judiciously make use of the classrooms most especially the amenities.

He said: “In the last three years, Ogunwuyi has committed to revamping and providing a new educational system to support the pupils. He has initiated and completed the provision of infrastructures that are scalable and would support the daily needs of our people to meet their connectivity and mobility needs”.

 

The headmaster of C. A. C Primary School, Obamo/Olode, Mr. Agbonyin M. O specifically thanked Hon.Segun Ogunwuyi for choosing their school to be one of the beneficiaries of the modern classrooms, saying that it was as if the lawmaker knew their direst need, which would in turn have a positive impact on the pupils.

 

In addition, Mrs. Akpele, the Community Basic School, Idi-Ayin’s Headmistress made it known that education in the Land of Valiants most especially Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire local governments has received a tremendous amount of attention since the emergency of the lawmaker.

 

Mr. Iyiola Opeyemi also urged the benefitting school students to face their studies to become great men and women in no distant future and shun acts capable of hampering their vision in life as both community members assured the lawmaker of more support.

The lawmaker’s representative was accompanied to the commissioning event by Mr. Remi Adediran who is the Senior Legislative Aide to the lawmaker, Mr. Tunde Ayangunna, the three local governments APC party chairmen, APC party executive members of the three local governments, and other functionaries.
