Arrangements are in top gear for the launching of yet another historical memory in Iwo next Saturday as the trending first class paramount ruler, Oluwo of Iwoland, HIM Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I installs Emeka Martins as the pioneer Asiwaju of Igbo community in Iwoland.
The memorable outing is billed to take place next Saturday 26th May, 2018 at Oluwo palace square. Oluwo, in his usual demonstration of love to unite the nation will unexpectedly launch another surprise message to Nigerians.
The release by oluwo`s press secretary, Mr. Alli Ibraheem, disclosed the installation of Emeka Martins Odumegwu as Asiwaju Onyendu Eze Ogadagidi (Indigbo I of Iwoland) will be the first of its kind in the history of the ancient city of Iwoland.
Ibo Assembly in the three local governments of Iwo, Ayedire and Ola Oluwa will converge at Oluwo’s palace for the historic event in celebrating the installation of Emeka as their number one citizen in the land.
“Many ranted when I wore Emir regalia, the then atmosphere was a strength to me. The enlightened see it as a message while others see it otherwise. I will be fulfilled one day see the unity of my dream in Nigeria. I want to manifest what I preach as a father to the nation. I`m an Oba to the Yorubas, Igwe to Ibos and Emir to the Hausas. I shall not relent until my message of national integration is passed and manifested”
“The unity of Nigeria is non-negotiable. We were amalgamated in 1914 to be an indivisible entity. No doubt, Nigeria has come to stay. To sustain and further improve on the affinity tie through cultural integration, traditional rulers are central actors. I am installing Emeka to register to everyone that we are all Nigerians. Neither ethnic nor religious attachment should put a barrier in between us”
Oba Akanbi appealed to all stakeholders to device every possible means to integrate Nigeria and improve the tie among Nigerians.
The event will witness heavy presence of notable dignitaries within and outside Osun State. Few of the invited Ezes are: Ohazululuike H W (OON) Eze ndiigbo of Lagos State and president Eze Ndiigbo in diaspora, Micheal Uba, Eze Ndiigbo of Ogun State, , Barr.
