The Governorship Candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Oyo State, Kunle Olatunji (KTJ), has congratulated renowned industrialist and philanthropist, Engr. Jubril Dotun Sanusi, on his elevation to the prestigious traditional title of Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In a statement issued on Friday, Olatunji described the elevation as a fitting recognition of Sanusi’s outstanding contributions to the development of Ibadanland, Oyo State and humanity.
According to him, Sanusi’s steady rise on the revered Olubadan chieftaincy ladder reflects his commitment to community service, philanthropy and the preservation of Yoruba cultural heritage.
“I received with great joy the news of your elevation to the esteemed traditional title of Gbonka Olubadan as you continue your steady ascent on the revered Olubadan chieftaincy ladder toward the exalted throne of the Olubadan of Ibadanland,” Olatunji said.
The ADP governorship candidate joined the Sanusi family, friends, associates and the people of Ibadanland in celebrating the traditional honour, describing the new Gbonka Olubadan as an exemplary son of Ibadan whose impact has continued to inspire many.
He prayed that God would grant the new title holder good health, wisdom, strength and divine grace to discharge the responsibilities of his new office and attain greater heights on the Olubadan succession line.
Olatunji also offered prayers in Yoruba for Sanusi’s successful journey through the traditional hierarchy, wishing him many more years of impactful service to Ibadanland.
