The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has officially announced Mrs. Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Balogun as its Deputy Governorship Candidate for the 2027 governorship election.

Adegunwa-Balogun, a renowned entrepreneur and Chief Financial Officer of Rite Foods Limited, is expected to run alongside the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.
The APC described her emergence as a reflection of the party’s commitment to inclusive leadership, competence, and sustainable development in Ogun State.
A distinguished professional and accomplished administrator, Adegunwa-Balogun is widely respected for her contributions to the private sector and community development. Party leaders expressed confidence that her experience and leadership qualities would complement the governorship candidate’s vision for the state.
Born in Ososa, Ijebu, Ogun State, the 51-year-old Chartered Accountant is the daughter of billionaire businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Sulaiman Adebola Adegunwa, the Asiwaju of Ijebuland.
According to the party, the Yayi/Adegunwa-Balogun ticket represents a formidable team poised to deliver purposeful governance and accelerated development across Ogun State.
The APC congratulated Adegunwa-Balogun on her nomination and called on party members, supporters, and residents of the state to rally behind the ticket ahead of the 2027 polls.
